EXCURSIONS

* Chitzen Itza: we will visit the town and the pre-Hispanic Mayan site nearby. Chichen Itza is a large pre-Columbian archaeological site built by the Maya civilization.

* Mérida: Founded in 1542 by the Spanish Conquistador Francisco de Montejo, this city is nowadays known as the White City because of the large use of white limestone and white paint. This traditional city depicts much of the splendor of colonial Mexico. Being isolated from the rest of Mexico for many years as a result of the difficulty of traveling to Mérida, the Yucatecos have cultivated a distinct contemporary society that is unique in Mexico

* Tulum & Riviera Maya: You can't go to Southern Mexico without visiting the Caribbean Sea... And the best way to enjoy the Caribbean is from Tulum, one of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites located on a 12-meter (39 ft) cliff on the Caribbean Sea.

* Cenote Zaci & Valladolid: "Cenotes” are surface connections to subterranean water bodies and are typical of the Yucatán Peninsula and some Caribbean islands.

* Chitzen Itza Light & Sound: After dinner we will go to Chichen Itza Light and Sound to learn from the vestiges of this magnificent ancient empire while enjoying some light effects at night.
